HC Deb 05 April 1910 vol 16 c203
Mr. HOARE

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether any sum had been earmarked for the use of the War Office from any surplus that may arise from the sale of the old Duke of York's School site, Chelsea, and the foundation and equipment of the new Duke of York's School, Dover?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I beg to refer the hon. Member to my answer to his question on the 31st ultimo to which I have nothing to add.

Mr. HOARE

Am I to understand, in view of the disinclination of the right hon. Gentleman to answer the question, that he has already spent money which he does not possess?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I do not know that I have evinced any disinclination to answer, but when the hon. Gentleman asks me to give an explanation of what might happen, I am unable to do so.
