§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the Committee of Railway General Managers have yet decided on the most suitable appliance to be fixed in passenger trains as a means of communication between railway passengers and the guard.
§ MR. RITCHIEI understand that; there is a preponderance of opinion in favour of what is known as the "brake system" of communication, and that most of the larger companies are taking steps to apply it.
