I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War if it is the practice of the War Office authorities to decline to grant a discharge to youths Who have enlisted in the Army when under age.

The Queen's Regulations (1805 vi.) lay clown dint youths proved to be under 17 years of age shall be discharged, and that youths between amount of extra work is thrown upon 17;old I may be discharged or retained at the discretion of the General Officer Commanding the District.

How does the War Office arrive at a decision that a youth is under 17 or otherwise —by his teeth, in the same Way as a horse?
