called attention to the fact that the officials connected with this Department Were detained till five o'clock on Saturday afternoons, whereas those engaged in other Departments left at two o'clock.

MR. HANBURY

said lie thought the honorable Member was mistaken in supposing that the other Departments always had a Saturday half-holiday. The Post Office was the only Department he knew of where there was a half-holiday every Saturday. The matter was a half-holiday every Saturday The matter was one which was, to a great extent, left to the discretion of the heads of Departments.
