HC Deb 18 May 1899 vol 71 c923
MR. GRETTON (Derbyshire, S.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs a question of which I have given him private notice—namely, whether he can give any further information with regard to the demand made by Russia for a concession to construct a railway to Pekin.

* MR. BRODRICK

We have been making inquiry, but we have not yet been able to ascertain what course it is proposed that the line should follow.
