HC Deb 16 May 1899 vol 71 c747
MR. THEORNTON (Peebles and Selkirk)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, looking to the anxiety of the people in Scotland for the passing into law of the Private Legislation Procedure (Scotland) Bill, he can give any assurance that it will be taken up and pushed through after the Whitsuntide recess.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I have every hope and expectation that the Bill will be passed before the end of the session.
