THOMAS (Merthyr Tydvil)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when the summaries of statictics relating to mines will be issued to Members; whether such summaries were, until recent years, issued at a much earlier period of the Session; and whether he is aware that they lose touch of their value by the delay in their publication?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENTThe, statistics referred to are now available to, Members, having been delivered at the Vote Office yesterday. This is an earlier date than in any year since the returns, from quarries as well as from mines have been given. Moreover, the Home Office this year issued an advanced proof of the statistics, so far as they relate to, mines, which was in the hands of the honourable Member more than a month ago.
