HC Deb 01 May 1899 vol 70 c953
MR. W. REDMOND (Clare, E.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government have objected to the presence of a delegate from the Transvaal Republic at the coming Peace Conference; and, if so, on what grounds?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. ST. JOHN BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

Her Majesty's Government have not had occasion to object to the presence of a delegate from the South African Republic, as the proposal to send an invitation to the Transvaal has not been made.
