HC Deb 27 March 1899 vol 69 cc504-5
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War if he is yet in a position to say whether the training of the Ross-shire Militia will take place at a time when the men, who are chiefly fishermen, are not engaged at the fishing; and whether a date has been fixed for this year's training?

MR. POWELL WILLIAMS

In consequence of the representations made, the training will not take place in April, but a date later on in the year, suiting the convenience of the troops, will be chosen.
