HC Deb 27 March 1899 vol 69 cc493-4
DR. FARQUHARSON (Aberdeen, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been directed to the inadequate scale of fees for medical witnesses in courts of law; and whether he will consider its revision, with the view of more adequately remunerating medical men who are compelled to give evidence for their loss of time and expense incurred?

MR. COLLINGS

This matter has received most careful consideration, but the Secretary of State has not seen his way to take any steps in the direction suggested.
