HC Deb 23 March 1899 vol 69 c141
MR. STEADMAN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, whether the members of the staff of sorter-telegraphists who performed compulsory overtime in the sorting office during the Christmas pressure can now be paid the amount of money they then earned?

MR. HANBURY

These officers were paid yesterday, the delay being due to its being found necessary to make special inquiry into the matter.
