Inasmuch as all such crossings are within the jurisdiction of the county councils and burgh councils, who are, as the case may be, the road authority, and as there is no reason to suppose that the road authorities fail in their duty to provide for public safety, I can see no useful purpose in obtaining the information desired, even if it were possible to do so.
