§ Mr. Schwann reported from the Committee on Group C of Private Bills, That the parties promoting the Ilford Urban District Council Gas Bill had stated that the evidence of Mr. W. D. Herd was essential to their case; and it having been proved that his attendance could not be procured without the inter- 765 vention of the House, he had been instructed to move that the said Mr. W. D. Herd do attend the said Committee To-morrow, at Twelve of the clock.
