COGHILL (Stoke-upon-Trent)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he will consider the advisability of amending section 133 of the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act, 1845, so that local authorities shall in future be entitled to be recouped the whole of the local rates, instead of only the poor rate, in respect of any property acquired by railway or other companies for new works until the new works come into rating?
