YOUNG (Cavan, E.)On behalf of the honourable Member for South Down, I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, with reference to the desired establishment of a telegraph office at the post office beside the Grand Metropole Hotel, Donegal Street, Belfast, whether any further representations have been made to the Postmaster of the City of Belfast on the matter; and whether, considering the urgent necessity for same, he will 274 favourably consider the establishment of a telegraph office there without unnecessary delay?
§ MR. HANBURYIt is the fact that further representations have been made to the Postmaster of Belfast with reference to the establishment of a telegraph office in Donegal Street, Belfast. As promised on the 20th ultimo, a further report has been called for on this subject, and as soon as it is received, no time shall be lost in communicating with the honourable Member.
