PATRICK O'BRIENI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, whether, in view of the fact that telegraphists are allowed a double increment for possessing a technical knowledge, the Department will see its way to grant a similar increase of pay to sorting clerks who possess a thorough knowledge of counter and sorting duties, and are competent to perform statistical and general correspondence work in postmaster's offices?
