FLAVIN (Kerry, N.)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster - General, whether he is aware that the United Kingdom is the only place in which postcards cost more than the stamp they bear; and whether at an early date the original practice of selling postcards at their face value will be put into effect.
§ MR. HANBURYThe United Kingdom is not the only place in which postcards cost more than the stamp they bear. There are a few other countries in which 1344 that is the case. I cannot hold out any hope that it will be possible to make any change in the price of inland postcards in this country.
