HC Deb 16 June 1899 vol 72 c1360
MR. MAURICE HEALY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether a solicitor who becomes chairman of Town Commissioners under the provisions of The Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898, s. 26, s.s. 2, thereby loses his right to practise at Quarter Sessions in the county under s. 13 of 14 and 15 Vic. c. 57.

MR. G. W. BALFOUR

The question is an abstract one, but the Government are advised that a solicitor would, under the circumstances mentioned, lose his right to practise under the 13th section of the 14 and 15 Vic. c. 57.
