HC Deb 13 June 1899 vol 72 c1063
MR. HOGAN (Tipperary, Mid.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the proposals of Her Majesty's Government in reference to the construction of the Pacific Cable have now been revised; and, if so, whether he can give a general indication of the amended offer of co-operation with the Canadian and Australasian Governments.

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

The matter is still under discussion between Her Majesty's Government and the Colonial Governments concerned, and I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
