§ Return ordered, "of the names of all the companies registered in England which were ordered to be wound up by the Court, or which passed resolutions for winding up voluntarily, during the year ending the 31st day of December 1896, showing the names and addresses of the liquidators, and giving the following particulars, viz.: (1) the amount of paid-up capital, distinguishing the amount paid up in cash anti the amount issued as paid up otherwise than for cash; (2) the estimated amount of probable loss arising on each of the above-named classes of shares, respectively; (3) the estimated amount of probable loss to unsecured or partially secured creditors; (4) the names of companies going into liquidation during the year 1896 on which no losses to shareholders or creditors are estimated as probable."—(Mr.Charles M'Arthur.)
