§ MR. LUTTRELL (Devonshire, Tavistock)I beg to ask the Under Secretary 224 of State for War whether, in respect to the convenience of those who may wish to spend their Bank Holiday on that part of Dartmoor adjoining Okehampton, he would ascertain whether it would be possible to have no artillery practice on the moor upon Monday, 7th August.
§ * MR. WYNDHAMIt is not possible to promise that there shall be no practice on the August Bank Holiday, as, owing to the limited time which each battery has at Okehampton, it might be necessary, if the preceding days are misty, to use that day for practice. The matter must be left to the decision of the Officer Commanding on the spot; but his attention will be called to the point.
