HC Deb 11 July 1899 vol 74 cc475-6
SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derbyshire, Ilkeston)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture if he can state the amount of the sum to be deducted in each case from the amount payable to the Counties of Warwick and Derby, and from the county boroughs of Birmingham and Derby out of the Local Taxation grant to provide the £87,000 to be taken from the grant under the Tithe Rent-Charge (Rates) Bill.

* THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE (Mr. LONG,) Liverpool, West Derby

The share of the counties and county boroughs named in a sum of £87,000 distributed in the proportion of what are known as the "discontinued grants" would amount to £911, £1,070, £1,276, and £202 respectively.
