HC Deb 10 July 1899 vol 74 c305
Mr. WEIR

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in view of the fact that up to the 30th of June the Foreign Office has received no reply to the representations of Her Majesty's Ambassador at St. Petersburg for improved facilities for the discharge and storage of herrings, will he state whether any reply has now been received, and if not, will renewed representations be made at an early date.

* MR. BRODRICK

There is no progress to report in this matter, and Her Majesty's Ambassador will exercise his discretion as to pressing it again on the Russian Government.
