SWIFT MACNEILL (Donegal, S.)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether in the reorganisation of the War Office by a committee of experts now in progress the Secretary of State will favourably consider the means of increasing the present female clerks' establishment at the War Office upon similar lines to those adopted by the Postmaster-General, so as to provide employment for the orphan daughters of officers who have fallen in action, or died from wounds received in action, or from the effects of foreign service, and whose families have been left in straitened circumstances.
