I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India will he explain why no reply has yet been given by the Government of India in reference to the memorials presented by Lal Brijraj Sinh and other zemindars of Khariar, in the district of Raipur, praying for redress of grievances; and whether, in view of the long delay which has taken place, he will cause immediate inquiry to be made into the matter.

I am informed by the Government of India that orders on their memorial were communicated to the Khariar and other zemindars of Raipur on the 14th of last month.
