JOHN BRODRICK,) Surrey, GuildfordThe British Vice-Consul at Van has reported that the inhabitants of several Armenian villages 25 miles to the north of that place are in a starving condition. Her Majesty's Ambassador at Constantinople has made representations on the subject to the Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs, who has promised to bring the matter before the proper authorities at once with a view to relief being sent.
