BUCHANAN (Aberdeenshire, E.)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Government will include in the terms of reference to the proposed Conference on Fisheries in the North Sea the desirability of the experimental closing by international arrangement of certain sea-areas, with a view to the preservation and development of special fisheries?
§ MR. BRODRICKIt will clearly be open to the British or Foreign Dele- 300 gates to raise questions of this nature in Conference, and it, therefore, does not appear necessary to include specifically in the terms of the reference to the proposed Conference a clause in the sense suggested.
