HC Deb 20 February 1899 vol 66 c1437
MR. SYDNEY BUXTON (Tower Hamlets, Poplar)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies, what is the present position of affairs in regard to the proposed International Conference to deal with the question of the liquor trade on the West Coast of Africa?

MR. BRODRICK

The Belgian Government have issued invitations, and desire that the Conference should meet at the earliest possible date, but the actual date has not yet been decided.
