§ MR. WYNDHAMThe selection of Militia battalions for the manœuvres depends almost entirely on the nature of the employment of the Militiamen. When the men's employment is likely to be affected by their being called out at the period fixed for manœuvres the battalions concerned are, as a rule, exempted.
