HC Deb 17 February 1899 vol 66 c1273
MR. FFRENCH (Wexford, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a resolution was passed by the Wexford Board of Guardians, on the 11th February, recommending that the provisions of the Workmen's Dwellings (Purchase) Bill be extended to Ireland; and whether he can see his way to recommend the Government to make this Bill applicable to Ireland, so as to enable the tenants of labourers' cottages to buy their homes on easy terms?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

It is proposed to make this Bill applicable to Ireland.
