§ MR. HANBURYSuch high prices have been asked for suitable sites that it has not been practicable hitherto to put forward any scheme which would not involve a much larger expenditure than the amount of the post office business in the town would warrant. Recently the 1099 price of one of the sites has been reduced, and the Board of Public Works is considering' whether a building can be put up within the limit of cost which could be justified.
