§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe petition of the Newcastle Guardians was received in the office of the Local Government Board on the 12th January. Certain documents which were subsequently called for from the guardians were not received until the 1st instant. The inquiry has now been fixed for Tuesday, the 21st of March.
