HC Deb 16 February 1899 vol 66 c1082
MR. MALCOLM (Suffolk, Stow-market)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to reward the officers and men of Her Majesty's Army, who were employed during the recent disturbances in Crete, more especially those who were engaged in the fighting which took place at Candia on 6th September last?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. GEORGE WTNDHAM,) Dover

It has been decided to grant rewards to certain officers, non-commissioned officers and men in recognition of their services during the occupation of Crete and, specially, during the outbreak at Candia on the 6th September last. The list will be published with the least possible delay.
