HC Deb 14 February 1899 vol 66 c866
MR. MAURICE HEALY

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, what has caused the delay in preparing the plans for the Cork Post Office; and how long it is since the complete possession of the site was obtained by the Department?

MR. HANBURY

Possession of the site was obtained in May last, but there is no provision in the Estimates of the current year for the building itself. Provision will, however, be made in those of the coming financial year, and I will instruct the Irish Board of Works to endeavour to have the plans ready for beginning the work accordingly.
