HC Deb 10 February 1899 vol 66 cc664-5
MR. MAURICE HEALY (Cork)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture as to the date when the present 6-inch Ordnance Map of the city of Cork was published; and when the revised 6-inch map of the city was published?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE (Mr. WALTER LONG,) Liverpool, West Derby

The present 6-inch map of the city of Cork was published in 1876. It is not possible for me as yet to fix a date for the issue of the revised 6-inch map, which is dependent on the progress made with the 25-inch re-survey. The 5-foot plans of the city were revised in 1890–3, and have been published.

MR. MAURICE HEALY

May I ask the right honourable Gentleman if there are any other cases where a community of the importance of Cork has to be content with an ordnance map 20 years old?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE

I am afraid there are other cases, but I am doing all I can to expedite the re-survey.
