HC Deb 08 August 1899 vol 76 cc159-60
MR. E. J. C. MORTON (Devonport)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that representatives of the newspapers published in Devonport and Plymouth are now refused admission to the Devonport Dockyard; whether he is aware that the representatives of these newspapers had enjoyed the privilege of entering the dockyard for thirty years previous to about a year ago; and by what regulation and on what grounds they are now excluded.

THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY (Mr. MACARTNEY,) Antrim, S.

The Admiralty have no information on the subject referred to in the hon. Member's question, and there has been no time to make the requisite enquiries.
