§ MR. HOGANI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received any further information in reference to the settlement of the remaining points at issue in connection with the construction of the Pacific Cable; and whether the negotiations have now sufficiently advanced to enable him to give a general outline of the amended scheme of joint ownership and mutual responsibility, as agreed upon by the representatives of Her Majesty's Government and the Colonial Governments concerned.
