JAMES O'CONNORI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, will he explain why a number of sorting clerks and telegraphists employed at provincial post offices had on being placed on the establishment their wages reduced; and whether he will take such steps as will result in the re-adjustment of the wages of officers so affected.
§ Mr. HANBURYThe Postmaster-General is not aware of the cases referred to; but if the hon. Member furnishes particulars of them inquiry shall be made on the subject.
