§ THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE WAR OFFICE (Mr. POWELL WILLIAMS, Birmingham, S.)The Committee has been appointed to consider the numbers and constitution of the clerical establishment of the War Office, and to inquire how far it may be possible, by a letter distribution and devolution of work and by the amalgamation of subdivisions, to effect reductions in the present clerical staff.
