§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA(1) There are, I believe, about 53 11 sugar factories in British India producing refined sugar according to European methods. But complete statistics of the output of these factories are not available; nor can any trustworthy estimate be formed of the amount of sugar produced by Native methods.
