§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIAThe number of British soldiers sent home from India as invalids on account of venereal disease during the years 1894–5–6–7 respectively was as follows:—1894, 301; 1895, 353; 1896, 479; and 1897, 662. We have not yet complete returns for 1898. The number now in the Netley and Herbert Hospitals who have been sent there from India is 199 (Netley, 189; Woolwich, 10).
