HC Deb 23 May 1898 vol 58 cc363-4
MR. P. J. O'BRIEN (Tipperary, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether he can now state the details regarding the arrangement with the Great Southern and Western Railway Company for carrying out the contemplated improvement in the mail service to the towns of Roscrea, Nenagh, and Birr; and if there is any probability ox the needed accommodation being afforded to these localities within a reasonable time?

MR. HANBURY

The Post Office proposals on this subject will be laid before the Treasury in the course of a day or two, and no time will be lost in arriving at a decision.
