HC Deb 09 May 1898 vol 57 c688
MR. LEWIS

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer why the Resolutions to be discussed this day in Committee of Ways and Means have not been printed?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

The same course has been adopted as on previous occasions. The Rules of the House do not require notice to be given. The only important Resolution is that relating to the tea duty, which has been printed.

MR. LEWIS

Will the right honourable Gentleman, for the convenience of the House, have the other Resolutions printed?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

I have no objection personally, but I am afraid it would not be in accordance with practice.
