§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIAOne vacancy in the Council of India existed at the time of the enactment of 52 and 53 Vic, cap. 65, and 10 vacancies have occurred since; of those 11 vacancies the Secretary of State has recorded his intention to abstain from filling three. The present number of members of the Council is 11, and there is one vacancy, which will shortly be filled.
