I beg to ask the Lord Advocate, in view of the fact that in the year 1897 there were three cases in which the gear of persons convicted of illegal trawling were confiscated, will he state the names of the trawlers, and also the names of the master and owner in each case?

I am informed by the Fishery Board that the names of the trawlers in question were the Commodore, G.N. 31, the St. Gothard, G.N. 46, and the St. Andrew, A. 670, and the respective masters were Fredk, Powderall, William Jarvis, and Thomas Mack, and that the respective owners were:—Commodore, John Macpherson; St. Gothard, Muirhead's Trawlers, Ltd.; St. Andrew, Thos. Walker, managing owner, and 27 others.
