§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether, in view of the fact that the water of the River Nethy, which forms the water supply for the village of Causer, in the Badenoch district of Inverness-shire, is admitted to be polluted, he will suggest to the Inverness County Council the advisability of enforcing the provisions of the Rivers Pollution Prevention Act, with a view to the prevention of the discharge of sewage into the river immediately above the village?
MR. GRAHAM MURRAYThe pollution referred to by the honourable Member is not admitted by the local authorities, and the Secretary for Scotland does not consider that he can carry the matter further.
