HC Deb 04 May 1898 vol 57 cc334-5

Order for Second Reading read.

THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. HANBURY,) Preston

I am afraid I must object to this Bill, as we have not had time properly to consider it.

MR. BANBURY (Camberwell, Peckham)

May I beg the right honourable Gentleman to allow the Bill to go on?

MR. W. REDMOND

I would appeal to the Secretary to the Treasury to allow this Bill to be read a second time, as it is supported by honourable Gentlemen opposite as well as by honourable Members on this side, who will be willing to accept any Amendments which the Post Office authorities may propose.

Bill postponed to the 11th of May.

MR. W. REDMOND

I beg to say that I will now block every other Bill to-day.
