HC Deb 31 March 1898 vol 55 c1497
DR. TANNER

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether the attention of the War Office has been directed to the alleged insanitary state of Fort Elizabeth Barracks, in the city of Cork, and seeing that these barracks are situated in a highly populated portion of the city of Cork, and are reported as ill-ventilated, damp, and badly constructed, having been originally a civil prison, whether any improvement is intended to be carried out in connection with these barracks?

MR. BRODRICK

No representation has been made to the War Office of any insanitary conditions in the Fort Elizabeth Barracks, Cork.
