FARRELLI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War in whose custody the military barracks at Longford now is; and whether, seeing that a large sum of public money has been laid out in the building of this barracks, will the War Office, in the event of its not being again occupied, hand it over to the local authorities to be used for the improvement of the township?
§ MR. BRODRICKThe barracks at Longford are in charge of the military authorities in Ireland, and will probably be again soon required for Army purposes.
