§ SIR JOHN LENG (Dundee)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether information has been placed before him showing that the agents of the three jute mills in India, which are owned 975 in Dundee, are favourable and not opposed to the closing of the Indian mills after three o'clock on Saturdays and the whole of Sundays?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIAThe only official information which I have on this subject is contained in the statement which I read to the House on Tuesday last. The hon. Gentleman sent me some papers, which show that the mills opposing Sunday closing are not in any way connected with Dundee. I will forward these statements to India in order that if there has been any mistake it may be publicly rectified.
